Products Description

DC 9V Photoelectric smoke alarm device
The large test button on the photoelectric smoke alarm is used to test the alarm weekly. The button produces a sound when the siren's electronic circuitry, horn, and battery are functioning properly. The test button verifies that the speaker is working properly and can also emit a sound if smoke is detected.
You can test your smoke alarm by pressing and holding the Test/Silent button on the lid for at least 5 seconds. If the smoke is not too thick, the alarm will be silenced immediately. If smoke or debris interferes with the sensor, the alarm will override silence.
You should test your smoke alarm frequently. You can also use canned smoke to ensure that the alarm triggers when it is supposed to spray smoke to the side of the alarm for three seconds.
